Individual Football Coaching for Young Players in the Canton of Geneva and Remotely

A coach's eye on the player's game and a personalised 4-week programme to follow independently: technique, running, game reading, but also sleep, screen time, hydration and nutrition.

  • UEFA C-licensed coach
  • Written individual programme
  • Remote video analysis
  • Parents always kept informed

Progress Beyond Club Training

Two or three team training sessions a week aren't always enough to fix a weakness, work on the weaker foot, or build confidence. A player also improves through what they do on their own, and through how they sleep, eat and rest.

A Tailored Approach

Every programme starts with observing the player, in a match, at training or on video. No generic copy-paste plan.

Easy to Follow

3 sessions of 30 to 45 minutes a week, with a ball, a few cones and a wall. Scheduled on days without club sessions.

Clear Priorities

Three priorities at most, plus a few lifestyle habits, so the player can keep it up over time and truly progress.

Individual Coaching Plans

Three plans, in person or remote. Prices in Swiss francs (CHF); for families in Europe or on another continent, payment can be made in another currency, for an equivalent amount.

Essentiel

  • Observation of a match, training session or video
  • Conversation with parents and questionnaire
  • Individual 4-week programme (PDF)

  • Conversation with parents and questionnaire
  • Individual programme over 6 weeks (instead of 4)
  • Independent sessions and lifestyle guidelines

  • New observation and 30-minute conversation with the player at week 6: review and adjusted programme

Trimestre

160 CHF

The best value for building progress over time.

  • Observation of a match, training session or video
  • Conversation with parents and questionnaire
  • Individual programme over 12 weeks, 3 cycles adjusted each month
  • Independent sessions and lifestyle guidelines
  • New observation and 30-minute conversation with the player every month

Remote video analysis: same plans, with a 10 to 20 CHF supplement depending on the length of video to analyse. The 30-minute conversations take place on the field or by video call for remote families. After a plan ends, a new cycle with a fully revised programme can be offered to continue the player's progress.

What the Individual Training Programme Covers

The areas of focus are chosen for each player: two or three priorities, not everything at once.

Running and Stride

Drills, acceleration, starts, coordination and agility to run better with and without the ball.

Ball Technique

First touch, passing, dribbling, juggling, shooting, with specific work on the weaker foot.

Game Intelligence

Reading the game, gathering information, off-the-ball positioning, choice of pass, analysis of a player in their position.

Confidence and Emotional Management

Managing stress before a match, staying focused after a mistake, finding the confidence to speak up on the pitch: simple tools to handle emotions better and build confidence.

Light Strength Work and Stretching

Bodyweight exercises, mobility and stretching, to progress safely and reduce injury risk in growing youngsters.

The Invisible Training

Sleep, screen time, hydration, nutrition: what happens off the pitch matters just as much as the sessions.

My Background

My name is Benoit, a UEFA C-licensed football coach with over 30 years in football as a player and then as a coach. Trained in France from the age of 6, in the youth categories of several elite clubs, some of which competed at national level at the time, I played for several years before choosing to pass on that experience to young players by becoming a coach. I then coached youth players in a club in the canton of Geneva from 2021 to 2025, from the football school to the junior teams, also giving individual sessions.

I tend to be reserved: I observe a lot before speaking. I'm interested in the player's overall development — technique and game, but also sleep, nutrition, rest and recovery.

My commitments

  • Parents are always informed and give their agreement.
  • Serious, honest support, adapted to each player.
  • No medical advice: in case of pain, I refer to a doctor or physiotherapist.
  • Information is used only to prepare the programme, and deleted on request.
  • A complement to the club, never a competitor to the coach.

How Did This Idea Come About?

Some requests from parents for individual support came my way, both within the club and outside it. Hard to combine with my group sessions, I had to turn them down, and that frustrated me: I knew there were motivated players left without an answer. I thought about it for a long time, and the idea came to me to build, for each player, a personalised programme based on observing their actual needs — that idea became Pitch Progress Football.

Where Does the Coaching Take Place?

In-person observation in the canton of Geneva and the surrounding communes, notably Genthod, Bellevue, Coppet and the Lake Geneva region. For all other families, video analysis provides the same support remotely, wherever you are.

Frequently Asked Questions

From what age, and for which players?

Individual coaching is for footballers aged 10 and up, with no upper age limit, girls and boys, of all levels. The programme is adapted to each player's age, position, level and schedule.

Does this replace club training?

No. Individual coaching is a complement. It adds to club training and matches and is scheduled on days without club sessions, with a genuine rest day and never high intensity the day before a match.

How much time does the player need to commit?

Generally 3 sessions a week of 30 to 45 minutes, done independently. Only 2 sessions if the player already has a heavy club workload.

Is any special equipment needed?

No: a ball, a few cones (or shoes placed on the ground), a wall or fence for passing, and a phone timer.

How does remote video analysis work?

The family films a full match in a wide, steady shot, plus a short individual video (wall passes, ball control, juggling, a 30 m sprint). I watch the videos, analyse the player's game and prepare the programme. A filming guide is provided.

How long does it take to receive the programme?

The programme is sent within 48 hours of receiving the questionnaire completed by the parents and the observation of the player (match, training session or video).

Can I pay in euros or another currency?

Yes. Prices are set in Swiss francs and payment can be made in euros or another currency, for an equivalent amount. Payment details (bank transfer, etc.) are confirmed during the first conversation.

What does the Suivi (follow-up) plan include?

With the Suivi plan: an individual programme over 6 weeks, then a new observation of the player and a 30-minute conversation at week 3 to check in on how it's going, and again at week 6 for a review and adjustment of the programme. The Trimestre (quarterly) plan extends support over 12 weeks, with a new observation and a 30-minute conversation with the player every month.

My child dreams of an academy, an elite club or a professional career: can the programme help?

Yes, it's a great way to give it every chance, whether the goal is an academy, an elite club, or aiming further. The programme works on what coaches look for: technique, game reading, intensity, attitude and consistency. Big dreams are built step by step, and my role is to support each player seriously to help them get there.

Does the programme also work on the mental side?

Yes, confidence and stress management are part of the programme: staying focused before a match, bouncing back after a mistake, finding the confidence to speak up on the pitch. I'm not a psychologist: in case of significant emotional distress, I refer to a professional, just as with any health matter.

My child has pain or an injury, what should I do?

I don't give medical advice. If pain persists (knees, back, heels, shins), stop the exercise and see a doctor or physiotherapist. The programme is then adjusted.

Which areas do you cover?

In-person observation in the canton of Geneva and the surrounding area (Genthod, Bellevue, Coppet…), as well as the Lake Geneva region. Remote video analysis for families anywhere (Switzerland, France, Belgium, Canada and elsewhere).
